Start with service events on event log

The first step in troubleshooting application performance or availability issues is to remove all events of low and medium importance to focus on the most important event(s).  This can be done using the event filter located here:

 

Hover over the colored lines to see their labels, and click on them to remove them from view.  Be sure you also remove all host resource type events to further narrow the scope of your review:

 

Now the event log shows just high importance, service level events.

It’s immediately clear from the event log and the topology view that the Redis service cluster is having an issue. The Redis cluster is red and the event log shows anomaly detected in Total Commands Processed:

 

Next you need to drill down into the health and metrics of that affected service.
